Robert Paul Williams has been part of the Schaefer's team since April of 1998. His primary responsibility is to keep the store and the shelves looking nice and well filled. Robert is an integral part of our stock department, and has expanded his duties to include many tasks in every department. Most notably, Robert has mastered the delicate task of maintaining a large salt water fish tank located in our main office.
Born on April 13, 1962, Robert grew up in Springfield, Illinois, and goes back there most holidays to visit his mother and sister. Robert has an interest in books and vintage trains. He also has a knack for remembering facts and numbers, and knows a lot of things about history and baseball. He has been associated with Orchard Village for many years, an organization providing individualized support for people with developmental disabilities. They put Robert in touch with us and we hired him on the spot. When he's not at work he's at home working on his apartment in Evanston, and he's also on the Budget Committee for his building complex.
Anyone dropping by our store is likely to see Robert in the middle of some project. He sees what needs to be done, and he does it. We rely on him more than we realize, and appreciate his being here to take care of things.
Robert has been with Schaefer's Stock Department since 1998.
