Anne is responsible for maintaining all of the glassware that is loaned out as a free service to Schaefer's customers. Anne was born at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, in November of 1953. Like many other Schaefer employees, Anne grew up in Evanston, along with a brother, Eddie, and sisters, Kathy and Jeannie. She attended Central School and later transferred to Dawes Elementary, then went on to St. Mary of Providence where she graduated eighth grade and high school.
Since 1974, Anne has been associated with Orchard Village, an organization providing individualized support for people with developmental disabilities. Anne now lives in an apartment in Skokie. She loves horseback riding and swimming, which she makes sure to do on a weekly basis. In fact, Anne has been swimming freestyle and the breast stroke in the Special Olympics for the past 30 years and has won "a lot" of metals! Anne's dream is to own her own home and to have her own horse one day! Anne's great positive attitude is a great inspiration to us all.
